Rethinking sheet metal processing
With our new punch-laser combination machine, we use two methods in one process to punch and laser the material to be processed. Compared to conventional processing on different machines, we can achieve greater precision and thus achieve absolutely repeatable results. This also avoids errors caused by retooling.
By punching and lasering, we enable geometric forming and precisely fitting standard contours on just one machine.
machine.
Our special brush tables guarantee virtually scratch-free processing,
so that the parts we produce achieve high quality standards and a clean surface finish.
With this powerful machine, we are able to process small, medium and large format panels with a thickness of up to 6 mm
and a size of up to 3,000 x 1,500 mm.
In addition to stainless steel, steel and aluminum, we can also process brass and copper sheets.
The use of multiple tools makes it possible to directly insert pull-throughs, threads, beads or complete perforated fields. But that‘s not all - with our new combination machine, it is possible to produce a wide range of standard shapes and meet individual specifications.
We are also happy to emboss your company logo or design elements using special tools.
Time is money: the punching head drills holes, perforated areas, forms and pull-throughs into the metal in no time at all, while the other half of our state-of-the-art machine
The other half of our ultra-modern machine can laser complex contours precisely and cleanly into the sheet metal in no time at all.
Our combination machine utilizes the respective advantages of both methods. Both simple, punched internal or external contours and complex, laser-cut shapes are given to the workpieces in just one clamping operation. This makes the production of sophisticated sheet metal parts economical and absolutely repeatable. Both cost optimization and time savings during punching and laser cutting are equally beneficial for you.
The EML-AJ combination machine uniquely combines the patented servo-electric double drive from AMADA
with a fast, integrated fiber laser with semi-flying optics. All features and functions have been designed to
that manual intervention by the operator is only required in exceptional cases. At the same time, they enable comprehensive processing of both simple and complex workpieces.
AMADA was the first laser manufacturer in the world to develop its own fiber laser resonator.
The EML-AJ has a 3 kW fiber laser that is up to 3.3 times faster than a CO2 laser. The energy consumption is reduced
is reduced by up to 70%, while high-quality processing is guaranteed.

Multi-purpose turret
The 44-station turret with rotating stations has been designed to offer maximum flexibility during processing. The integrated 4 threaded stations can be included in the punching process, reducing processing and programming times.

AMADA fiber laser beam source

Independent laser Y-axis
During the punching process, the laser cutting axis is completely decoupled from the punching unit, preventing vibrations that could damage the cutting optics. This is achieved by a unique, separate laser Y-axis.

Automatic nozzle change
The EML-AJ has a 4-station nozzle changer with a calibration and nozzle cleaning unit to ensure continuous, automatic operation.
